FAQ

What you'd like to know

Does Assaqi require an account?

No. There is no sign-in or personal account at all — the app works right after you accept the policies.

Does the app work without internet?

Yes — after the first sync, duas, ziyarat, the Quran, tasbih and prayer times are stored locally, and the app then works fully offline.

How are the prayer times calculated?

Two methods are available: the Institute of Geophysics, Tehran (religiously authorized by the Grand Ayatollah, the martyred leader Sayyid al-Mustatab, r.a.), and the Najaf al-Ashraf calculation following the method of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani.

Does the app include the complete Mafatih al-Jinan?

Yes — the duas, ziyarat and acts of Mafatih al-Jinan by Sheikh Abbas al-Qummi, organized by chapter, with a comfortable reader and search.

Is my location sent to any server?

No. Precise location (GPS) is entirely optional and used only locally on your device for the qibla and adhan — it is never sent to any server.

Is the app completely free?

Yes, completely free with no subscriptions or in-app purchases.
